Biography:

Christian Blache was among the younger of the classic marine painters, a pupil of one of the great early, C.F. S. He had as his colleagues a good knowledge of ships, and he took most of his designs from home waters and coasts. He traveled all over Denmark, and gave striking depictions URf.eks. of Western Jutland. He cultivated like the hard weather, and there may be a robust drama in his pictures. He got travel stipend from the Academy and was two years abroad. Later, he was in Paris to view the works of art on the world fair 1878 and 1887 he visited the Faroe Islands and Iceland. He was steadily exhibiting at Charlottenborg, enjoyed the attention by its eye-catching images and was also eagerly recorded by professional organisational work
