Biography:

Peter Kornbeck stayed with Heinrich Hansen taught in architecture, painting, which came to characterise his artistic production. The great accuracy in the representation of any building detail, painted with a steady hand and a friendly, light colour, giving his images a culture historical value beyond the purely artistic. As architecture painter, he continued the tradition with his predilection for the golden age great historical edifices, as URf.eks.

Frederiksborg Castle, Rosenborg and the stock market. A prolonged stay in Italy influenced his iconography from various Italian cities (Milan, Verona, Siena, Assisi, Viterbo, Rome, Subiaco, Palermo), and on later journeys were carried out motifs from Antwerp, Split, Lake Garda, Toledo, Switzerland (Bellinzona) and Egypt. Architecture in the form of churches, castles and ruins is always the predominant motif, but often with figure spot. Kornbeck lost in 1868 his one eye, which, however, did not have an impact on the quality of his production.
