Biography:

Johan Neumann was trained by his famous Uncle Carl Neumann, whose motive world sakio. So he painted søstykker in the North coast of Zealand, on the Isefjord, at Skagen and the West coast of Jutland. He portrayed ships from the frigate Jutland to common fishing vessels. In addition, the historic søbilleder from cultivated Neumann past naval battles, a genre which farbroderen Carl Neumann was known for, and Neumann achieved as he great popularity in his contemporaries.
