Biography:
August Fischer is especially known as a painter of architecture. The motives are old, picturesque houses and bypartier, mostly from abroad, URf.eks. Nürnberg, Rothenburg, Venice and Florence. However, he has also painted interiors and landscapes. Furthermore, it is known that watercolors from his hand, URf.eks. from Skodsborg badehotel, and there are a few drawings have been preserved. The younger brother Paul Fischer's good name by the foreign art auctions in the 1980s seems to have spilled on the otherwise generally neglected painter. Photos of Fischer was offered on English auction in the 1980s.
