Kiah j, 1926-1998, Danish artist; self-taught. Kiah j performed at the beginning of his career figurative sculptures in granite, and from ca. 1960 he has of flexible material, e.g. plate iron, created works in a more abstract idiom.

The balance between cubic and rounded shapes, which also distinguishes iron sculpture nature's dynamics (1968, Herning Art museum), he has continually refined, especially in the many sculptures of partly polished steel, which has made him a sought-after ornamental artist.
